MONZI is all about the wonders of daring to go beyond one’s own expectations.

What began as the musical love child of Simon Fagan and his longtime friend and fellow producer Christian Bringzen, has since led to the successful release of debut album Swings (released in April of 2025). Band leader Fagan has built a strong and cohesive lineup around his stunning vocal presence, and the lyrical swiftness that he brings to the MONZI repertoire.

Representing the “Berlin Years” of the Irish folk-pop newcomer, Swings draws on Fagan’s own artistic search for a unique voice in a city of millions. MONZI’s influences stem from traditional American folk and rock songwriting combined with inventive, modern production techniques, evoking nostalgia and optimism in equal measure. Since the 2025 LP release, MONZI has appeared on stages across Germany, securing major feature slots on radioeins and delivering a vibrant headline show at Berlin’s Prachtwerk, marking the beginning of a new chapter on their journey.
