Monzi is the music love child of Simon Fagan and Christian Bringzen. The pairs long-standing friendship is the backbone of the band, which goes from an intimate solo/duo performance, growing to a five piece when the occasion calls for it. Musings around time, place and people are given great life by arrangements that leave just enough space for Simon’s vocal to draw the listener in and sing a chorus which never disappoints. Influences stem from traditional American folk and rock song-writing that when combined with an inventive production creates a nostalgic yet optimistic thread that runs deep throughout these songs.
